Zelus
Data-driven graphics projected onto the ice at NHL arenas, cued live by local operators.
Zelus is Quince Imaging's on-ice projection system, used by NHL teams across the league to fill breaks in play with spectacular full-rink graphics. I created the web-based application local operators use to build and cue stacks of graphics, and the integrations that make them smart: official data and scoring feeds (Oasis) and SportRadar's API drive visually rich, data-accurate graphics.
Highlights:
- Animated replays of the key moments of the game, generated from live data.
- Live tracking integration that lets real Zambonis "wipe away" an operator-supplied image to reveal another underneath.
- A watch-party mode that brings live road games onto the home rink, with live representations of the players and puck.
