CheapOut

CheapOut is a low-latency video pipeline that bridges the Ventuz VIO API or Chromium renderer to Blackmagic DeckLink SDI outputs. A native engine moves the frames and a browser-based control application drives it over shared-memory IPC, keeping the path from renderer to SDI as short as it can be.

Feature highlights

  • Inputs
    • Ventuz VIO (shared memory from Ventuz)
    • Hardware-accelerated Chromium renderer

  • All functionality is exposed through a web-based API
  • A browser-based application is bundled to consume the API and expose all functionality
  • Previews of each input are visible through the web API
